How edunile looks after your school's records
Every line on this page is something your school can check for itself inside edunile. Where it says "See it", that is where to look.
Your school's records are yours
You can send your records out whenever you like.
Students, staff, classes, subjects, attendance and your fee list, each as a spreadsheet. Turn it on once, then press Email CSV beside what you need.
See it: Settings, Your records, "Getting your records out"
Every copy goes to every School Admin.
A spreadsheet is emailed to all of your school's admins at once, never downloaded onto one person's device. Nobody can take the school's records out without the others knowing.
You can leave when you choose.
Your school's Owner can ask for the school and its records to be deleted, and can cancel the request while it is waiting.
See it: Settings, Your records
Nothing changes without a name on it
Every change is recorded: who made it, what changed and when.
Changes made by edunile support are marked "via edunile support", so you can always tell them apart from your own staff.
See it: Settings, Audit Log, Actions
Every sign-in, and every failed attempt, is recorded.
Each one with the time, whether it worked, and the internet address (IP) it came from.
See it: Settings, Audit Log, Security Events
A payment, once recorded, is never edited or deleted.
Each payment shows who recorded it and when. Money handed back to a parent is written as its own line, so a bill's history always adds up.
See it: Open any bill in Finance
Records with history are not erased.
A student, class or subject with records behind it cannot be deleted. When a member of staff leaves, you remove them from the school: their access ends at once and everything they recorded stays.

Fee money goes to your school
Parents pay into your school's own bank account.
Online payments go through Paystack and settle into the bank account your school set up. edunile does not hold your fees.
Only your Owner can change that bank account.
Not a School Admin, and not edunile support: nobody else can change where your school's fees are paid.
See it: Settings, Money
Card details never touch edunile.
A parent paying by card types their details on Paystack's own payment page, not on ours.
Who can see what
Your school's records are kept apart from every other school's.
Each school's records are stored separately, so nobody at another school can see your pupils, your fees or your staff.
Staff see what their role allows.
A teacher marks registers and enters scores only for the classes they teach. Money, settings and staff each need their own permission.
See it: Staff Room
Passwords are stored scrambled, never as the password itself.
Nobody at edunile can read your staff's passwords. A forgotten password is reset, never looked up.
Records travel and rest encrypted.
Everything moves between your phone and edunile over an encrypted connection, and is stored encrypted.
When edunile support needs to look
Only when your Owner lets us in.
Your Owner turns access on for 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Each visit lasts at most an hour, and switching access off signs support out straight away.
See it: Settings, Security, "edunile support access"
Everything support does is in your Audit Log.
Each change is marked "via edunile support", and every visit is listed on the support access card with a link to exactly what was changed.
See it: Settings, Audit Log
Some things stay with your Owner, always.
Support can never change your plan, your bank account or payment settings, hand the school to someone else, ask for it to be deleted, or turn its own access on.
An emergency is still on the record.
If parents cannot pay and your Owner cannot be reached, edunile can sign in without permission. That visit is marked "Emergency override" on the support access card and recorded in your Audit Log like any other.
