The question every proprietor asks in week three
“How much have we collected?” In most schools the answer depends on who you ask and when. The bursar has a notebook, the bank app has the transfers, and some parents paid cash that has not been written down yet. You find out who never paid at the end of term, when chasing them is hardest.
The deeper problem is that the school runs on one trusted person’s memory. When that person is on leave, ill or gone, the records go with them. edunile keeps the whole picture (bills, payments, receipts, students and staff) in one place that does not depend on anyone being in the office.
The money, at a glance
The collection view shows what was billed this term, what has been paid and what is still owed, class by class, and which families are behind. It is the same view your bursar works from, so there is one set of numbers instead of two versions of the truth.
Online fee payments go through Paystack straight into the school’s own registered bank account. edunile never holds the school’s money. Cash, bank transfer and POS payments taken at the office are recorded on the same ledger, and every payment has a receipt behind it.
A record of who changed what
Every member of staff joins by invitation, with a role that decides what they can see and do: a bursar works in fees, a teacher in their own classes. Changes are recorded in an audit log, so when a figure is questioned there is a trail rather than an argument.
Some decisions stay with you alone as the owner of the school’s account, such as handing ownership to someone else. Giving a senior member of staff administrator access does not give them that.
The school does not stop when someone leaves
When a teacher or bursar leaves, you remove their access in one step. Everything they recorded (attendance they marked, grades they entered, payments they took) stays on file and stays attributed to them, so the history of the term is not lost with the person.
Because the records live in the system rather than in a notebook, the next person picks up where the last one stopped.
One school or several
If your school runs on more than one site, every class, member of staff and student belongs to a campus. You can look at one campus at a time or at the whole school together.
And the data is yours: you can export your students and fee records to a spreadsheet from Settings whenever you need them.
