Before term begins
- The session runs 39 weeks and 195 school days — 65 in each term. After weekends and public holidays are excluded, the calendar states 181 teaching days.
- Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) runs from 21 June to 28 June 2027. Both dates are marked subject to change.
- Placement of Primary 6 completers into junior secondary schools is set for 9 August 2027, and the screening test into flagship schools for 28 August 2027. Both are marked subject to change.
- WASSCE is listed for April to June 2027 and NECO SSCE for June to July 2027. Exact dates are not stated in the calendar.
- Inter-House Sports should be held during the first term.
- Separate observation notes give International Literacy Day as 8 September 2026, International Day of the Girl Child as 14 October 2026 and Cultural Day as 24 February 2027.
